Dear Joyce,

Thank you for your appeal, and accompanying documents which were received by the Scottish Government on 4 December 2024, requesting an appeal of the decision made by Stirling Council to refuse the request made by East Loch Lomond Community Trust to purchase Balmaha Car Park under Part 5 of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015, which concerns asset transfer requests.

An appeal under Section 88 (2) of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015 has been made in writing in accordance with The Asset Transfer Request (Appeals) (Scotland) Regulations 2016 by East Loch Lomond Community Trust, Conic View Cottage, Balmaha, Glasgow, G63 0JQ.

This letter acknowledges receipt of your appeal sent on behalf of East Loch Lomond Community Trust. We will make a copy of the appeal documentation available on the Scottish Government website, and notify you when this has been done. I have attached a link to the guidance which outlines the appeal process in more detail.

Please do not hesitate to contact me at any stage of the appeal should you need information or clarification on any aspect of the process.
