4. Section 3 of the 2013 Act requires the professional to consider the carer’s assessment and allows local authorities to provide support. Section 7 imposes the duty to offer choice in relation to the support to be delivered in consequence of adult carers’ assessments. Section 8 imposes the same duty in relation to young carers.
