Director for Children and Families

Responsibilities

The Director for Children and Families is responsible for early learning and childcare, children's rights, child protection and wellbeing, child and maternal health, keeping The Promise, care experience and whole family wellbeing, the Office of the Chief Social Work Adviser, the Redress scheme and sponsorship of Disclosure Scotland.

Biography

Andrew’s previous posts in the Scottish Government include:

Andrew attended Aberdeen University where he studied Geography and International Relations, and studied Development Management at the Open University.
