Domestic abuse: justice partners group
Overview
This group was established following the Criminal Justice Committee’s post-legislative scrutiny of the Domestic Abuse (Scotland) Act 2018 and is comprised of the justice partners who considered the initial implementation of the Act.
It first convened in August 2023 to discuss the recent review reports and agreed to further roundtable discussions to provide regular and collective updates on work to tackle domestic abuse.
Its key focus will be:
- developing the evidence base
- improving victim experience
- tackling perpetrators
- improving multi agency working
- early intervention/prevention and changing societal attitudes
