Human Trafficking - Identifying and Supporting Victims Action Area Group
Overview
The group's role is to support the delivery of the actions in their remit. These include:
- raising public awareness of human trafficking
- improving information sharing among organisations that work to keep victims safe
- consulting with victims to find out about the barriers they face and what would help them
The group's main activities involve:
- clarifying the actions
- prioritising the actions
- identifying the networks that need to be involved implementing the actions and working with them
- identifying training needed and referring this to Strategy Implementation Group
- working with the other Action Area Groups. (These are addressing the causes of trafficking and exploitation and identifying perpetrators and disrupting their activity.)
