Infected Blood Oversight and Assurance Group
Overview
The Infected Blood Inquiry is a UK-wide inquiry established in 2017 by the UK Government to investigate how thousands of people were infected with HIV and/or hepatitis from infected blood transfusions and infected blood products. The Inquiry published its final report on 20 May 2024.
The Infected Blood Inquiry Oversight and Assurance Group (OAG) was formed in 2024 to oversee the effective delivery of the Inquiry’s recommendations that are to be implemented by the Scottish Government, NHS Scotland or other associated organisations in Scotland.
A copy of the Infected Blood Inquiry’s report, including its recommendations is available on the Infected Blood Inquiry website.
