NHS Chief Executives

Overview

The NHS Chief Executives meetings allow strategic policy and operational discussions to take place between the Scottish Government health directorates and the Chief Executives of NHS Scotland health boards.

Following a review of system leadership in NHS Scotland the regular Chief Executives business meetings with health and social care directors were stood down in October 2024.

The NHS Scotland Executive Group has been established setting out a new approach to system leadership.
