Overview

We have created the Scottish Hydrogen Industry Forum (SHIF) to bring together key industry figures to help:

drive forward the hydrogen economy in Scotland collaboratively
ensure Scottish Government policy and action remains responsive to technological and market developments
maximise the decarbonisation and economic benefit for businesses and communities

The establishment of the SHIF was a commitment we made in the Hydrogen Action Plan (2022)

The SHIF’s focus is to:

provide insight into and understanding of the challenges facing this emerging sector
improve and increase possible solutions to barriers to deployment
inform developing our policy
help inform engagement with the UK Government on the wider hydrogen economy
help realise our ambitions.
