Sexual Health and Blood Borne Virus Oversight Committee
Overview
The Sexual Health and Blood Borne Virus Oversight Committee (SHaBOC) was established in May 2024 following the publication of the Sexual Health and Blood Borne Virus action plan. The plan, published in November 2023, committed to the formation of a Ministerial-led sexual health and BBV oversight group to provide oversight and accountability for the delivery of the action plan, supporting policy development and monitoring work to deliver the actions, as well as the sexual health and BBV components of related national strategies and action plans.
The committee convenes twice a year and is chaired by the Minister for Public Health and Women’s Health.
