Tackling Prejudice and Building Connected Communities Action Group
This group is no longer active.
Overview
The ministerial-lead, Tackling Prejudice and Building Connected Communities Action Group, was established in 2017 with key stakeholders to take forward an ambition programme of work in response to the Independent Advisory Group on Hate Crime, Prejudice and Community Cohesion’s recommendations.
Its membership includes key stakeholders that will provide a strong, multi-agency strategic approach towards tackling hate crime, eradicating prejudice and building community cohesion, whilst respecting the independent responsibilities of the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service and Police Scotland. Current priorities identified by the group are Legislation and Guidance, Data and Evidence and Reporting.
The action group meets regularly and also carries out work between meetings.
