Final chance for students to submit 2016-2017 SAAS Applications
Issued on behalf of the Student Awards Agency Scotland.
Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS) would like to remind any students who have not yet submitted their 2016-2017 application for funding and tuition fees, to do so now and before the 31 March 2017 closing date.
With just over one week to go until applications close for the current academic session there are still a number of students who have yet to apply. An accurate application and supporting evidence must be received by SAAS by 31 March 2017, otherwise students risk receiving no funding.
SAAS Chief Executive Paul Lowe said: “To ensure all 2016-2017 funding is paid, it is crucial that students apply before 31 March 2017. At SAAS we want to make sure that all students receive the funding and tuition fees they are entitled to. I urge students to submit their applications now at www.saas.gov.uk. If you have any queries about your application our dedicated staff will be happy to help. Please ring our helpline on 0300 555 0505.”
Minister for Further Education, Higher Education and Science Shirley-Anne Somerville said: “I would advise all students who have not already applied for their funding to contact SAAS and submit their applications as a matter of priority. The Scottish Government is committed to ensuring fair access and offering the right level of funding for students through their Higher Education journey, so we don’t want eligible students to miss out.”
