2018 national improvement framework and improvement plan
The framework sets out activity the Scottish Government and partners will take to drive improvement for children and young people.

1. Before school inspections take place, HM Inspectors issue questionnaires to parents. These give an indication of parents' satisfaction with various aspects of the school to inform the inspection. During the 2016/17 academic year Education Scotland reviewed the range and content of the pre-inspection questions and piloted a new online questionnaire system. The pilot ran from January to June 2017 and the results of this pilot are provided in this table.
