6. What we want to make better

• Recognising adoption and the opportunities it offers to our children and young people who cannot live with their birth families. This is part of our work to Keep The Promise.
• Making sure that our children and young people have help to move (“transition”) into their adoptive family.
• Helping our children and young people stay together with their brothers and sisters.
• Helping our children and young people to understand their life journeys and to be in touch with the important people in their lives.
• Making sure that children, young people and families have support with their health, education and wellbeing, after adoption.
• Making sure that adult adoptees also have support as and when they need it.
