3. What Happens Next?

In September 2024, the First Minister announced the Programme for Government for the coming year. Within that was a commitment to bring forward a Bill amending Adults with Incapacity legislation. The responses to this consultation will inform the development of that legislation and the accompanying guidance, and revised codes of practice.
