Avian influenza (bird flu): previous outbreaks

A record of confirmed cases of bird flu in Scotland. The season is recorded from October to September each year.

Incidents of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 were confirmed at premises in the following areas:

Near Kirriemuir, Angus (AIV 2025/01) on 10 January 2025 with restrictions lifted on 12 February 2025.
