Business Insights and Conditions Survey (BICS) weighted Scotland estimates containing data to wave 106 (including data for Wave 105).
Recruitment
In Wave 106, businesses not permanently stopped trading were asked if they had experienced any difficulties recruiting employees in March 2024.
Figure 1: Difficulties in recruiting employees had been experienced by an estimated 25.0% of applicable businesses in March 2024. The highest rates of recruitment difficulties were reported by businesses in the Construction (36.7%) and Manufacturing (34.3%) sectors.
