Worker Shortage
In the period 1 July to 14 July 2024, businesses not permanently stopped trading were asked if they were currently experiencing a shortage of workers.
Figure 1: 31.2% of businesses reported experiencing a shortage of workers. The industry sector with the highest proportion of businesses reporting a shortage of workers was Construction (42.5%).
