Worker Shortage
In the period 5 August to 18 August 2024, businesses not permanently stopped trading were asked if they were currently experiencing a shortage of workers.
Figure 1: 25.6% of businesses reported experiencing a shortage of workers. The industry sector with the highest proportion of businesses reporting a shortage of workers was Construction (34.8%).
