Turnover

Businesses that were currently trading were asked how their turnover in January 2025 compared with the previous calendar month.

Figure 4: For an estimated 35.1% of businesses turnover had decreased in January 2025 compared to December 2024. The Accommodation & Food Services (58.4%) and Administrative & Support Service Activities (41.7%) sectors had the highest shares experiencing a reduction. For 19.4% of businesses, turnover had increased.
