Access to Goods and Materials
An estimated 69.5% of applicable businesses who had not permanently stopped trading reported being able to access the materials, goods or services they needed from within the UK in June 2022, which is lower than in May 2022 (76.0% in Wave 58). A further quarter (22.1%) reported that they had to change suppliers or find alternative solutions in order to get the materials, goods or services they needed from the UK and only 8.4% reported that they were unable to get them.
Of the businesses that reported being unable to get materials within the UK or had to make changes to get materials within the UK, 8.2% reported that this caused them major disruption, 46.2% reported moderate disruption, 37.8% reported minor disruption, 4.7% reported no disruption, and the rest (3.0%) were unsure.
