Wages

In Wave 61 the BICS asked businesses how employees' hourly wages in June 2022 compared with wages in the previous calendar month. Overall, 72.5% of businesses reported that wages stayed the same. An estimated 21.1% of business reported that wages increased in June 2022, compared to May 2022 – rising to 30.4% of businesses in the Information & Communications sector, and 29.6% of businesses in the Accommodation & Food Services sector.
