Response

1 Eleven permanent hires joined the Accountant in Bankruptcy (AiB) in 2022.

2 No hires came through an external provider. All permanent hires were recruited through fair and open competition, in line with the Civil Service Commission's Recruitment Principles. These can be found at Recruitment Principles - Civil Service Commission (independent.gov.uk).

3 AiB does not have a recruitment team. Team managers are responsible for recruitment for their team.

4 Currently, the time taken between the advert being posted and a conditional offer being made is 65 days. This is an average figure for external recruitment campaigns, which are open to everyone to apply for. The average time taken from advert being posted to a candidate starting in post, taking into account notice periods and pre-employment checks is 103 days.

5. All permanent hires who joined AiB in 2022 are still employed.

6. We are unable to provide this information, advertising costs are paid from a central Scottish Government budget and this could not be split between specific business areas.

7. No external providers were used during 2022.

8. No agency contractors / temps / interims were employed by AiB in 2022.

9. Nil.

10. AiB does not set diversity targets. We conform to the Civil Service Commission's Recruitment Principles and hold all permanent recruitment through fair and open competition.

11. AiB received 403 applications for posts in 2022 of which 105 were withdrawn either by the candidate, or they did not attend their interview. This equates to 40%.

12. The system used is ICIMS (Internet Collaborative Information Management Systems) applicant tracking system. For our pre-employment security checks we use Amiqus.
