Breakdown of the number of FTE staff working in each department of the Scottish Government, and its agencies, on 1 March of the last 5 years.

I enclose a copy of all of the information you requested in Microsoft Excel format. Please get back to me if you require an alternative format, for example PDF. The tables contain the FTE number of Directly Employed staff in each organisational unit at 1 March each year. These Management Information data are sourced from the HR system.

The Scottish Government does not use the term Departments to describe organisational units. We have interpreted this to refer to Directorate-General family or Agency/Non Ministerial Department in our enclosed response.
