15.0 Staff moving within or leaving the profession

15.1. The number of staff moving within or leaving the profession in 2023 with a given reason is 35, a decrease of 36 from 2022 to 2023. The reasons include retirement (17), public sector (4) and the private sector (4). Those moving to another local authority building standards office (10) are recorded as leavers in this data, note that these staff have not left the profession. See Table 11.

15.2. An additional 5 staff left the profession in 2023 but no reason was given and therefore are not reflected in the table below.
