Implementation and Delivery Plan
The intention is for the NSAIS to open in January 2024 with the 2023 Regulations in force by that time.
Post-implementation Review
The Scottish Government will review the impact of this legislation within 10 years
through analysis of data on the number and outcome of applications to the Tribunal. The use of the safety and security provisions will be monitored in line with the provisions of the 2005 Regulations.
