Centre for Teaching Excellence: apply to host
Educational institutions in Scotland are invited to apply for funding to set up and run a national Centre for Teaching Excellence. Find out how to apply.
Eligibility
Who can apply
Scottish educational institutions can apply if they:
- offer Initial Teacher Education (ITE), and
- have education research capacity
You can submit a single bid or a collaborative bid. If you are submitting a collaborative bid please say which is the lead institution.
Proposals should cover the remainder of 2024 to 2025 and the full 2025 to 2026 financial year.
While funding can only be confirmed for the 2024 to 2025 and 2025 to 2026 financial years, there is an expectation that the Centre will continue for a further two years. However, this is subject to further approval processes and satisfactory delivery of outcomes in the first year.
Funding is limited directly to this programme only and cannot be used to deliver any other functions.
