Cereal and oilseed rape harvest: Methodology

Introduction

This report provides information on the methodology of Scottish cereal and oilseed rape harvest estimates. This includes information about both first and final estimates of the cereal and oilseed rape harvest. Information is included about survey methodology and sampling, data collection methods and limitations.

In some years a different methodology has been used to create estimates. Final estimates in 2022 and 2020 use a different methodology. First estimates are not available for 2022. More information about these changes is available under Changes to methodology.
