13. Monitoring and Review

13.1 The EQIA has been valuable in raising the overall awareness and understanding of the key issues affecting people with protected characteristics.

13.2 The impacts of the proposals being consulted upon on the protected characteristics have been considered as a result of the assessment.

13.3 During the consultation process, the Scottish Government will continue to work with a wide range of stakeholders, including organisations that work with or represent people with one or more of the protected characteristics to gain further insight into the impacts of these proposed policies. This insight will be fed into development of the Heat in Buildings Bill.
