Child Rights and Wellbeing Impact Assessment (CRWIA) for the Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy, Delivery Plan and Workforce Action Plan

Assessing the anticipated impact of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy, Delivery Plan and Workforce Action Plan on children's human rights and wellbeing.

4. Impact on children and young people (Guidance Section 2.2)

As this covers the content of the Mental Health & Wellbeing Strategy, Delivery Plan and Workforce Action Plan some of the actions themselves have no immediate impact on children and young people; any such impact would come at the point of delivery. Any impact on children and young people would be dependent on the nature of the particular action being considered and would therefore not be known until the outcome has been reached.

That being said, it is considered that individually and together, policy developments across the following work streams will have an overall positive impact on children’s rights: CAMHS Improvement and Eating Disorder Policy, Community Mental Health and Crisis Services, Perinatal and Early Years Mental Health, Children and Young People’s Mental Health Improvement, Student Mental Health and Wellbeing and the Children and Young People’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Joint Delivery Board.
