Child rights and wellbeing impact assessment: health and social care statutory guidance refresh

Child rights and wellbeing impact assessment on the refresh of statutory guidance focused on health and social care integration authority strategic plans and annual performance reports.

8. How will the impact of the policy/measure be monitored?

The proposed programme of work – a refresh of statutory guidance – does not fit neatly within the definition of 'policy/measure'. The nature of the proposed programme of work also makes monitoring through quantitative measures very difficult.

Instead, the impact and usefulness of the refreshed guidance, once published, will be monitored through engagement with those expected to use the guidance (i.e. officials working for integration authorities). This will take place through existing fora, such as Strategic Planning and Performance Officers' Group (SPPOG) and Chief Officers and their Executive Group.
