Circular Economy Bill: response letter

Thank you for your letter of 23 April to the former Minister for Green Skills, Circular Economy and Biodiversity, Lorna Slater MSP which included an overview of the Regulatory Review Group and advice on the Circular Economy Bill. The Circular Economy Bill now sits within my Ministerial portfolio.

I am grateful for your input and the recommendations of the Regulatory Review Group which are being considered as part of the Bill process ahead of Stage 3, and will inform future co-design of regulations.

Officials will be very happy to hold a further meeting with the Regulatory Review Group as the implementation of the Bill progresses to discuss the issues raised. I would also be happy to discuss with the group at an appropriate point to ensure the recommendations are considered in policy development as appropriate.
