Compulsory Purchase Orders: contact information

A list of contacts for enquiries relating to Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPOs) arranged by type of legislation used.

Scottish Ministers are responsible for deciding whether or not CPOs submitted to them should be ‘confirmed’ (i.e. approved). When a CPO is submitted for confirmation it will be handled by the relevant casework team within the Scottish Government. The lead officer with responsibility for handling a CPO will depend on the purpose of the Order and the legislation it has been made under. The table below sets out the relevant contacts if you have a query about a specific CPO or type of CPO.

If you have a general query about compulsory purchase policy and procedures, please contact CompulsoryPO@gov.scot. For queries about compulsory purchase reform please contact cpo.reform@gov.scot.
