Supporting disabled children, young people and their families: easy-read version
Consultation on a public resource that will look to provide information across three pillars: rights and information, accessibility of support, and transitions.
What we want the resource to be
We want to give people clear, accessible information on:
- the law
- what they are entitled to
- their rights
- the different kinds of support they can get.
The resource will be mainly available online, so that it can be kept up to date easily. We will make the content available in ways that are easy to understand and accessible to people in any format they need, for example, in Easy Read.
It is also important for children and young people to access as much of this information as they want, so a version will be available specially for them.
After people have given us their views through the consultation the resource will be published in Winter 2018 or early 2019 as a website.
