13. Section 23 of the 2020 Act requires public authorities to publish information about the steps which they have taken to meet the duty. The authority must publish the information no later than 12 months after the end of period to which it relates.

The process by which the consumer duty was considered in the context of the Programme for Government will be reviewed ahead of the PfG for 2025-2026. This will ensure the Scottish Government has robust processes in place for the consideration of consumers when making strategic decisions.
