Contribution to international development: report 2021 to 2023

Report taking a holistic look at a wide cross-section of our international development activity and presents it within the context of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.


Content of the Report

This 2021/23 Report brings together the Scottish Government’s contribution to international development by again taking a holistic look across a range of government activity, through a reflection on our:

  • Chapter 1: Overview of the Scottish Government’s Official Development Assistance
  • Chapter 2: Health
  • Chapter 3: Inclusive Education
  • Chapter 4: Equalities
  • Chapter 5: Sustainable Economic Development
  • Chapter 6: Renewable Energy and Climate
  • Chapter 7: Climate Justice
  • Chapter 8: Water and Sanitation
  • Chapter 9: Humanitarian Emergency Responses
  • Chapter 10: Global Citizenship
  • Chapter 11: 2021 Review Outcomes and Future Programming
  • Annex I: Spend Breakdown over 2021-23.

The Chapters each draw from individual projects’ monitoring, evaluation and review activities. Sections will highlight progress made between the financial years 2021/2022 and 2023/24, and lessons learned in equalities, education, health, renewable energy, and global citizenship.
