Coronavirus (COVID-19): framework for decision making

1. This figure is all deaths where COVID-19 is mentioned on the death certificate. As of 23rd April the number of patients who have tested positive who have died is 1120.

2. R0 - "R naught" - as it is called - is the number of new cases that one case could generate in a fully susceptible, non-immune population in the absence of interventions that reduce the transmission rate. R is the number of new cases that one case generates in the current state of a population. In this document we use R throughout.
