This consultation on a new Agriculture Bill will underpin Scottish agricultural policy for generations to come. Responses to this consultation will assist in delivering our Vision for Agriculture.

Powers and other mechanisms to allow future payments to farmers, crofters, and land managers to support delivery of national climate change mitigation objectives.

Targeted outcomes for biodiversity to create thriving, resilient nature through conditional direct payments and enhanced payments.

Environmental care

Powers to preserve biodiversity to create thriving, resilient nature through conditional direct payments and enhanced payments

Preserve landscapes and biodiversity.

Powers to create a 'National Reserve'.

Support generational renewal.

Provision to support land-managers and communities who are undertaking and supporting land management not limited to agriculture

Vibrant rural areas.
