Democracy Matters Phase 2: analysis of responses - easy read
An easy read version of an analysis report of responses to the second phase of the Democracy Matters engagement process, which ran from August 2023 until February 2024. During this time, communities from across Scotland came together to consider how decision-making should look.
Introduction
Democracy Matters Phase 2 started in August 2023. Communities came together to think about how decisions should be made in their local area.
When the Government is going to make changes, they must ask people for their views. This is called a consultation. The Democracy Matters consultation was done between August 2023 and February 2024.
We got 166 responses. Most were from the Citizen Space consultation hub which is online or emailed to the Scottish Government. There were also 7 events across Scotland.
