Early Adopter Communities: evaluability assessment

This report presents the findings of an evaluability assessment for the school age childcare Early Adopter Communities. This includes considerations and recommendations for process, impact, and economic evaluations.

2. Note that in Glasgow, the EAC applications are for funding only, and not for a childcare place. Partner providers collect information that they need from families separately, as part of their own application/registration processes. At the time of writing, parents using EAC funding in Glasgow typically already had a childcare place with an EAC partner provider.

3. Income response categories include “Less than £24,421 with one child”; “Less than £26,884 with 2 or more children”; “I earn more than this”.

4. Specifically, families are asked if they will accept a referral to financial advice and/or employability services.

5. Note that this information is based on the Easter Holiday application form, but the form for term-time is similar. Forms are periodically updated.
