Children's care and justice – possible changes to the law: consultation - easy read
The Scottish Government would like your views on how we can protect and support children. This is especially those in conflict with the law.
Secure transport
Children who are in secure care or going to secure care, court or medical appointments, can be transported in lots of different ways. This might be by their social worker, staff from secure care, the police, or secure transport from private organisations.
Children have told us that these journeys could be better. They should be able to go with people they know and trust. They should not have to wait long times for transport. They should know what will happen.
Just now it can be difficult to make sure this happens. We want to know if we should do more about secure transport.
