Education and Skills organogram and pay grades: FOI release

Information requested

1. The staff structure/organogram (giving job titles not names of individuals) for the Cabinet Secretary for Education and Skills office, including both civil service and political staff.
2. The wider and complete political staff structure/organogram (special advisors) of the current Scottish Government.
3. The pay grades for each staff member in the Cabinet Secretary for Education and Skills office.

Response

Cabinet Secretary for Education and Skills Private Office:

Private Secretary – civil service grade C1

Deputy Private Secretary – civil service Grade B2

Assistant Private Secretary – civil service grade A4

Assistant Private Secretary – civil service grade A4

The Private Office staff above work flexibly across portfolio private office teams, as required.

The pay grades for the civil service are attached in Annex A.

All staff in the Private Office are career civil servants.
