Education (Scotland) Bill: child rights and wellbeing impact assessment
Child rights and wellbeing impact assessment(CRWIA) for the Education (Reform) Bill.
14. Communicating impact to children and young people
Qualifications Scotland and Inspectorate of Education in Scotland
Through engagement and partnership with our children and young people stakeholder organisations we will keep children and young people informed of the impact of Qualifications Scotland, His Majesty's Inspectorate of Education and related policies. The Muir report, and the recommendations that informed this policy, were communicated to children and young people via an accessible version developed in partnership by Children's Parliament, Scottish Youth Parliament and Together[17]. An Easy Read version[18] of the Education (Scotland) Bill consultation was also produced.
It should be noted that this impact assessment relates to the legislative provisions of the establishment of Qualifications Scotland and HM Chief Inspector of Education in Scotland, and not the operational policies. We will seek to work with CRWIA partners to publish a child and young person friendly accessible CRWIA once the Bill has passed through Parliament.
