Education (Scotland) Bill: child rights and wellbeing impact assessment

Child rights and wellbeing impact assessment(CRWIA) for the Education (Reform) Bill.

15. Planning for the review of impact on child rights (Stage 3)

A post-implementation review of the newly established Qualifications Scotland and HM Chief Inspector of Education in Scotland will be conducted once they have been operational for a period of time, yet to be determined. A review of this impact assessment will also be completed alongside this.

It will be for Qualifications Scotland and HM Chief Inspector of Education in Scotland to conduct their own reviews on the impacts of the policies they develop and implement in relation to children's rights. It will be for Scottish Ministers and the Scottish Parliament to scrutinise the performance of the new bodies in relation to how they have delivered their functions, and therefore how the delivery of these functions has impacted on children's rights.
