Emergency Department Weekly Activity and Waiting Times in Scotland: Week ending 01/03/2015
This report contains weekly activity and waiting times statistics for the 32 Emergency Departments in Scotland which provide a 24 hour emergency medicine consultant led service.
2. Main findings
Over the week ending 23:59 on Sunday the 1st March -
- There were 25,448 attendances to Scotland's 32 Emergency Departments.
- The proportion of attendances to those 32 Emergency Departments that were seen and subsequently admitted, transferred or discharged within 4 hours was 86.9%.
- 578 patients (2.3%) spent more than 8 hours and 186 patients (0.7%) spent more than 12 hours in the 32 Emergency Departments.
