Employment Injury Assistance delivery - next steps: response to consultation

Introduction

This consultation is the first step in what will be a wider process of policy development. Critically, this will include the establishment of the Employment Injury Assistance Steering Group. It will also include a later formal consultation on the design and implementation of the new benefit. We are talking and listening to individuals, organisations and groups with direct and personal experience of industrial injuries. We are taking the time to understand and address the complexities and challenges associated with the Industrial Injuries Scheme (IIS) as we work towards delivering a modernised benefit that better reflects the contemporary world of work.
