Satisfaction with nearest green or blue space

Public satisfaction with their nearest green or blue space has remained at a similar level long term.

In 2023, 76% of people were very satisfied or fairly satisfied with their nearest green or blue space. This figure has remained at a similar level over time. Question not asked in 2018 and 2022.

Satisfaction with nearest green or blue space varied widely depending on how people rated their neighbourhood .

In 2023, there was a wide range in the percentage of adults who were satisfied with their nearest green or blue space, according to differences in neighbourhood rating, deprivation and health. There was no difference according to age or sex.
