Final Business and Regulatory Impact Assessment (BRIA) for the introduction of market restrictions on problematic single-use plastic items as identified in Article 5 of the EU Single-Use Plastics Directive (EU SUPD).
13.0 Implementation and delivery plan
306. The Scottish Government will set out a timetable for implementation and will work closely with businesses involved in the manufacture, import, trade and sale of the single-use plastic products under consideration. This includes exploring opportunities for diversification and the manufacture of affected products using alternative materials which will help support more circular business opportunities such as providing reusable alternatives.
