HR, finance and purchasing system replacement: equality impact assessment
This equality impact assessment looks at the replacement of HR, Finance and Purchasing systems in Scottish Government shared service customer organisation. This was huge undertaking impacting on every member of core Scottish Government and many other organisations.
1. Background
The Shared Services Programme (SSP) is being carried out to improve the delivery of corporate shared services across the SG and its public sector Customer Organisations.
- To have a single platform for all the functions (HR, Finance and Purchasing)
- To achieve single governance by utilizing best of breed cloud system that can support SG shared services with advanced technology features and provides scalability, flexibility to deliver future phases.
- Customer centric shared services across a range of corporate service areas
- Focus on Data and Analytics for far more data insights to increase accessibility and improve diversity and inclusion
- Avoid costs and efforts for large systems upgrades
