Information requested

Confirmation of when an error in the First Minister's contribution to Parliament on the 29th of September 2022 was identified; what prompted the First Minister or her staff to notice the error; and details of any correspondence relating to this error.

Response

The error in the First Ministers contribution on the 29th September 2022 was identified when a point of order was raised in Parliament. Following First Ministers Questions, officials were asked by staff in the First Ministers Private Office to advise on the point of order and subsequently draft a technical briefing note on the error as well as provide lines to update the Official Record. The briefing and revised lines were sent on the 4th of October and the correction to the official record was accepted by Parliament on 12th October 2022.
