Estimates policy and number of requests refused in last calendar year: FOI release

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

Information requested

In relation to pension estimates:

  1. Please provide a copy of formal approved policy which includes minimum timescales between subsequent requests for estimates.
  2. Please also provide details of how many request estimates you have refused in the past calendar year. You have twenty working days to respond to this request.

Response

  1. The Scottish Public Pensions Agency has an agreed policy covering estimates which is available for our members on our website: https://pensions.gov.scot/nhs/your-membership/pension-estimates-andannual- benefit-statements

The Pension Regulator’s Toolkit which our SPPA Policy follows is also attached.
  2. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the SPPA does not have the information you have requested. This is because we do not record the number of estimates refused.
